✨ Circumnavigate the world with a sailboat named Houdini as many times as possible

This plan is currently underway!

This is the helm to my 1977 Formosa 51 where I will stand as I take us around the globe.


🧚🏻Sleep in an ice igloo- see the northern lights

Other Worldly (still on the bucket list)

I cannot think of anything more eerie, romantic and beautiful than a ghostbusters display in the sky, snuggled into an igloo in Finland.


🐘 Camp out in Africa and see elephants around the tent and hear hyenas at night

There is NO substitute for going with a group of local friends (still on the bucket list)

Just a Buckee and a camping trailer and Hyenas chewing the tries at night…


🦓 Witness the Great Migration

Great Migration is when close to two million wildebeest and upwards of 700,000 gazelles, zebras, and other antelope species cross the Masai Mari and the Serengeti in search of sustenance

So many places to do it. This places takes you over the Serengeti to watch the Great Migration. Two birds, one Stone?


🐳 See an Orca in the wild

I want to see Orcas while sailing Houdini in the Salish Sea. This is in the works for Spring 2022


⛰ Climb Kilimanjaro

(still on the bucket list)

45 miles round trip. Elevation gain: 12,940 feet. Typical Length of Trip: 5-10 Days Total. best time to climb Kilimanjaro are the months of January through early-March and June through October.


Go to Tibet and stay in a Buddhist Monastery

Trekking in Tibet

Tibet is known as the “Roof of the World”, the “Third Pole”, or the “Land of Snows”. It is one of the most renowned places in the world. Home of Buddhist Monasteries, the vast Himalayan Mountains, hairy yaks, and the beautiful landscape.

I will tick this one off as we sail by Australia on Houdini. This may call for bit of over landing.


Visit Paris and see the Eiffel Tower

(still on the bucket list)

If I’m honest, my daughter wants to see the Eiffel Tower. I want to eat chocolate croissants.


🪁 Hang glide in Hawaii

(still on the bucket list)

Hawaii is one of the top 10 places to hang glide in the world. Seems much safer than the bungee jumping I did off of the bloukrans bridge in South Africa.


♊️ Visit the village Koh Panyi Thailand - where they live only on the water on the river

A small island about 20 minutes by longtail boat from Surakul pier in Phang Nga province. There are about 1,600 people from 360 families permanently living on the island. Descendants, of Toh Baboo who were the first people to settle on Koh Panyee 200 years ago.h

It doesn’t matter what kind of boat. The more derelict the better…


Take the Pilgrimage Camino de Santiago Spain

(still on the bucket list)

The Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James, is an ancient pilgrimage trail originating in medieval times. Made up of a vast network of roads and paths, pilgrims travel these to arrive at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

I have driven over the Golden Gate Bridge countless times, admiring the sailboats below. How amazing to sail Houdini under it. I’m going to hire a photographer!


Hike Mount Shasta California

Even though I have been staring at if form my parents porch for 20 years it’s (still on the bucket list)

Mount Shasta is a potentially active volcano at the southern end of the Cascade Range in Siskiyou County, California. At an elevation of 14,179 feet


Jump off a cliff into the ocean - a kinda big one - film it with drone

I’ll save this one for last…

Why, you ask? Because, it scares the shit out of me on so many levels.

This is about the silliest thing I’ve never done. I lived in Florida off and on for years. Sometimes you just need to “be a tourist” in your own town.


🐂 See the running of the bulls in Spain

The Running of the Bulls occurs every July 7th-14th in Pamplona, Spain. 6 Spanish fighting bulls, along with 6 steer, run from the Corrales de Santo Domingo.
